Tyler Hoechlin's portrayal of Superman on The CW breakout show "Supergirl" has fans anticipating the Man of Steel receiving his own solo series. However, according to executive producer Andrew Kreisberg, there are no plans to add Superman to the growing list of DC TV shows.

During a Q&A session, Kreisberg reiterated that he's glad to have been able to include Superman as a part of "Supergirl." "We’re so happy with what we get to do," Kreisberg said. "I don’t mean for that to sounds as bad as it does, but we asked if we could have Superman in the first episode, and DC and Warner Bros. said ‘you could have him for the first two episodes’ and we were like ‘great!’ I’m not going to sit here and say that there’s never going to be a world in which there’s a Superman TV show and that Tyler’s going to star in it — I don’t know what the future holds, but right now that’s not our focus.

"Right now, we’re working on Supergirl, which is the flagship, and we’re working on a way for Tyler to reprise the role," Kreisberg added. "That’s really what our focus is: on Supergirl."

Starring Melissa Benoist as the Girl of Steel, "Supergirl" airs Mondays at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW. The series also stars David Harewood as Martian Manhunter, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers and Jeremy Jordan as Winn Schott and features appearances by Calista Flockhart's Cat Grant as well as Tyler Hoechlin's Superman.
