THOR: THE DARK WORLD
In an extended interview with Prestige Hong Kong, Chris Hemsworth spoke about a myriad of topics including his initial audition for “Thor” and his current work with director Alan Taylor for “Thor: The Dark World.”
“I love the way [Alan Taylor] adds an incredibly organic element to the fantastical world of ‘Thrones,’ and I think that’s what ‘Thor’ could benefit from,” Hemsworth told Prestige Hong Kong. “It’s grounded in reality, no matter how mythical or science-fiction-like it becomes. There’s a truth to it all. Certainly, working with him now, you can see he doesn’t want Thor or the Asgardians to seem like some distant race or god-like. He still wants them to be relatable.”

THE AVENGERS 2
It’s never too early for casting rumors to begin for Joss Whedon’s “The Avengers 2,” a concept supported by a story that hit The Daily Mail over the weekend. According to the UK news site, Emily Blunt and Ruth Wilson are currently in the running to play Ms. Marvel in “The Avengers 2.” The publication sites no concrete sources, so this is definitely a rumor for now. However, Emily Blunt was once offered the role of Black Widow back when “Iron Man 2” was getting made and passed. It could be that Marvel wants to work with her in another capacity.
Until this is confirmed, though, definitely a rumor.

“Arrow” hits the CW in two days and Ksite has an interview with Katie Cassidy, who plays Dinah “Laurel” Lance. Cassidy spoke about her initial process during her audition and the possibility of her character becoming Black Canary.
“When I originally had auditioned for this part, I basically came up with a back story that was legitimate to the material that I was given — the pilot,” Cassidy told Ksite. “Creating back story to make this person as authentic as possible, I did a little bit of research, but I also, at that point, didn’t consider the Black Canary because I didn’t know. When — if [she becomes Black Canary] is always still a question. You never know with these writers; they could do anything. I try not to think about that at this point because I think sometimes I can get in my own way if I over-think it. I think as far as the Black Canary goes, it will probably happen very organically. I know that Laurel is very strong, very tough. She comes from a middle class family; her father’s a cop; she knows how to fight. It will be something that happens organically, and it’s probably going to be pretty cool.”
Premieres October 10 on the CW
X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST
Crave Online spoke with Richard and Lauren Shuler Donner about a wide range of topics including whether a crossover between Fox’s “X-Men” universe and the Marvel Cinematic Universe is in the cards.
“I would love it. I would love it. I personally have close ties to Marvel because of Kevin Feige, because Kevin worked for me,” Lauren Shuler Donner told Crave. “But to take our characters and mingle them in the way that they were written, yeah, absolutely.”
