Opens July 26
In addition to the two previously announced premiere dates for the unnamed Marvel Studios films, Disney has set a third date for a film: July 8, 2016. While the identity of the three films are currently unknown, it’s very likely at least one of them is “Doctor Strange.” Film websites from Comic Book Movie to Latino Review have already begun posting rumors and plot details about “Doctor Strange.” It’s likely Marvel will reveal more about the upcoming films during its Comic-Con International panel in July.
While there hasn’t been a lot of specific film news in the last 24 hours, one major development is the separation of Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros. Variety reports Legendary and Warner Bros. have parted ways rather than extend their distribution deal. The two companies collaborated on both Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight Trilogy” and Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel.” Legendary’s Thomas Tull is currently in talks with Universal, Sony and Fox for distribution deals.

“I had an odd gut feeling that it was something I should do,” Fichtner told IGN. “Sure, I liked it and I liked what I read. It’s not the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles you’ve seen before. This is new. This is a Michael Bay production. It’s kind of freaky.”
