AMC has added another "The Wire" alum to the critically acclaimed "The Walking Dead." According to The Hollywood Reporter, Seth Gilliam has been cast in an as-yet undisclosed role. THR reports the casting breakdown identified GIlliam's character as Michael, a man who is "friendly with a puckish demeanor who also has a haunted side," though neither the name or description are currently expected to be accurate.

Gilliam is best known for his role as Ellis Carver on all five seasons of "The Wire," as well as his more recent portrayal of Dr. Alan Deaton on "Teen Wolf." He has also had recurring roles in "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," "Law & Order: Trial by Jury," an deployed Sugar Watkins in 1997's "Starship Troopers."

The fourth season of "The Walking Dead" brought in strong viewer numbers for AMC, and shortly after the season wrapped, the network released a poster with Rick in the light cast from a stained glass window with a single word in the show's painted script: "Survive."
