Get ready to see a whole lot more of Tyreese, Sasha and Beth in Season 4 of The Walking Dead.

TVLine reports actors Chad L. Coleman, Sonequa Martin-Green and Emily Kinney have all had their roles upgraded from recurring to regular as the hit AMC drama moves forward.

Considering the amount of central characters killed off in Season 3, it's no wonder producers decided that some new people needed to come to the forefront. Meanwhile, actress Melissa Ponzio, who plays Woodbury survivor Karen, has been added in a recurring role.

One major recurring character has already been upgraded to a regular in Season 4. While we had assumed David Morrissey's Governor would be killed off by the Season 3 finale, he'll return better than ever as a full-time series regular next season.

There will be another big change in The Walking Dead Season 4: Scott Gimple will take over as showrunner from Glen Mazzara. It shouldn't be that much of a change of pace, though, because as Executive Producer Gale Anne Hurd told Comic Book Resoures at The Walking Dead's PaleyFest red carpet, this show is Gimple's "whole life."

"The show is the show, we just bring it to life. It's almost like it's got a life of its own, and he's channeling it. He's very character-driven; he wrote the episode where Sofia comes out of the barn, he wrote [the Season 3 episode] 'Clear,'] so you get his voice," she said. "I think the characters are going to really have a lot of difficult things thrown at them that they're going to have to deal with. But there's going to be no shortage of action, either!"
