THE WALKING DEAD
AMC has posted a behind the scenes look at last night’s season finale of “The Walking Dead,” but beware before proceeding as there are spoilers.
Executive producer Gale Anne Hurd stopped by the CBR Tiki Room at WonderCon 2013 to discuss all things related to “The Walking Dead.”

At WonderCon, “Pacific Rim” director Guillermo del Toro not only showed new footage for his giant robots versus giant monsters film but also gave a brief update on the status of his “Justice League Dark” film, titled “Dark Universe.”
“[John Constantine] is basically trying to recruit these guys,” del Toro told the audience. “On Etrigan, I’m using Jason Blood in the time of Merlin. We find out at the top that they each have a mystery to solve. Swamp Thing is at peace with who he is, but Deadman needs to figure out who shot him. It’s all woven in. Growing up, my two favorite characters were Etrigan and Swamp Thing, so I’m in heaven.”
“Arrow” also made an appearance at WonderCon, and Spoiler TV has posted the sizzle reel used as the show’s panel.

Legendary DC Animation head Bruce Timm stepped down from his role as Supervising Producer for Warner Bros. Animation to develop his own projects. Comic Book Movie, citing a source inside the Burbank offices, has begun the rumor that Timm is creating a new “Justice League” animated series set in the DC Animated Universe.
STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS
Not really movie-related news, but IDW announced a movie epilogue comic series and CBR spoke with “Star Trek After Darkness” writer Mike Johnson about what’s to come following the film.
“The comic story picks up a few days after the movie ends, then jumps ahead about a week,” Johnson told CBR. “The storyline address the fallout from both the film and the prequel miniseries ‘Countdown to Darkness.’ The hope is that the prequel, the movie and the ongoing series tell one big epic story that continues into the months to come.”
TRON: LEGACY 2
I know, “Tron: Legacy” is itself a sequel, but nobody’s quite sure what Joseph Kosinski’s follow-up will be named. In any case, he was at a press roundtable at WonderCon and Latino Review got an update about the status of the “Tron” sequel film.
“We’ve been working on the story for four years now,” Kosinski told reporters. “The first draft, [in which] Jesse Wigutow is writing it, is supposed to come in the next couple of weeks so the idea we have is really exciting. It has to be pretty exciting enough to get everyone back together. Those are pretty hard movies to make. Legacy was almost three years. We got a really exciting idea for it. As long as the script can kind of deliver on that — the interest is there on the studio side. It’s going to have enough creative juices to have in order to dive back in. We got some exciting ideas — so we’ll see.”
Guess who’s back for the “Doctor Who” 50th Anniversary Special? The Tenth Doctor and Rose!
