THE WALKING DEADGreg Nicotero and Danai Gurira spoke with CBR about last Sunday's episode, the aftermath of the latest in tragic deaths for Rick and the survivors and the introduction of the Governor's zombified daughter to the show.
"It's a really interesting way to get us into that character," Nicotero said. "I think with The Governor we've seen that he's got this sort of sly, manipulative way of charming Andrea, and he tries it on Michonne but clearly it doesn't work because she's way too in tune for that, she's way too smart for that. So [we] have an opportunity to see him in a different light by seeing the little girl and then sort of leading us into the fact that she's a walker.
"The way that the scene was written and even some of the ways that we shot it, she's actually eating a piece of flesh that we're supposed to assume is human flesh," Nicotero continued. "We're supposed to get the idea that, just like they're feeding the walkers that are in captivity before Michonne kills them, that The Governor is feeding her flesh. You see the blood around her face and you see the blood on her hands, so we're supposed to believe, and we will probably learn in a future episode, a little bit more about that. I just think that it was a really fascinating way to get into seeing a different facet of The Governor and giving you a little snapshot into what it is that is obsessing him and driving him to do what he does."
In a round-up of upcoming spoilers, EW spoke with Lauren Cohan about what's to come for the rest of the season -- and it looks like more deaths may be in store.
"The body count is not done," she says. "That's pretty much all I can say, but we're not just going to see death. There's going to be a whole host of challenges now that we've got the human threat. Woodbury is up to no good. The Governor is up to no good; it's really scary. We've got some scary stuff ahead."

ARROWSFX Magazine spoke with Stephen Amell about his role as Oliver Queen in "Arrow" and allowing the character to kill.
"The central character of all the great shows on television, and I don't list these names to draw comparisons, but as an example - Tony Soprano, Walter White, Don Draper - these are all incredibly flawed people that do regrettable things, terrible things, unforgivable things," Amell told SFX. "But as long as they're pursuing an overall goal, and as long as they engage the audience, that's why those shows resonate. I've always wanted to play somebody who was unflinching, who set up for something and followed through with it. That's why we have to kill people on the show, because he's trying to clean up the city. To think that there wouldn't be collateral damage, that would be farcical."

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXYAs it turns out, yesterday's rumor of Iron Man joining the "Guardians of the Galaxy" movie is entirely false. Cosmic Book News reports Gunn responded to the rumors on his Facebook page.
"When fan sites have a slow news day, I guess they just make shit up," the director said via Facebook. "Honestly -- almost all of the 'news' about my upcoming projects has been utterly and completely false. And I really mean 'all.'"

CARRIEChloe Grace Moretz spoke with Spinoff Online about her leading role in the remake of "Carrie" and how it differs from the original film and book.
"What I really wanted to show with my character is that she wasn't naive to the point of stupidity," Moretz told Spinoff. "She understood everything that was going on around her to the point that she over-comprehended what people were saying to her. What happens with Carrie is that every bad that is put out towards her, she takes it in more than people even realize. And she grows stronger and harder, and then at that prom it breaks down. And that's when everything she's kept together, everything that she's kept contained from her mother, her peers, her teachers, everyone around her - it unfolds. The telekinesis takes whatever is your strongest feeling at the moment and it multiplies it by a thousand. And that's why it comes out like that."

MAN OF STEELWhile speaking with The L.A. Times about "Watchmen," "Man of Steel" director Zack Snyder briefly stated his intention for the Superman reboot.
"It's a more serious version of Superman," said Snyder. "It's not like a heart attack. We took the mythology seriously. We take him as a character seriously. I believe the movie would appeal to anyone. I think that you're going to see a Superman you've never seen before. We approached it as though no other films had been made. He's the king-daddy. Honestly that's why I wanted to do it. I'm interested in Superman because he's the father of all superheroes. He's this amazing ambassador for all superheroes. What was it about him that cracked the code that made pop culture embrace this other mythology? What we've made as a film not only examines that but is also an amazing adventure story. It's been an honor to work on. As a comic book fan, Superman is like the Rosetta Stone of all superheroes. I wanted to be sure the movie treated it respectfully."
