The "Suicide Squad" is ready for their close-up! Entertainment Weekly has released a series of headshots that focuses on each individual member of the group, as well as some mini-bios that reveal new information about the characters.

For instance, Harley Quinn's bio confirms she was a "manipulative psychiatrist-turned-obsessive-in-love"; while we knew she was a former gymnast, this is the first confirmation that she will follow her original origin, in which she was a psychiatrist that fell in love with the Joker.

Likewise, the article provides a little more information about the elusive Katana: "Flag's sword-wielding No. 2 has a strong moral code even as she still mourns the death of her husband."

Diablo also gets a bit more backstory in his bio, which reads, "The monastic monster has squelched his fire-conjuring powers to a solitary flame as penance for the horrors he inflicted on those he's loved."

The next DC Cinematic Universe installment, "Suicide Squad," stars Jared Leto as the Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, Karen Fukuhara as Katana, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Jay Hernandez as El Diablo and Adam Beach as Slipknot and opens on Aug. 5, 2016.
