More familiar faces are entering the world of "Jumanji," as Nick Jonas has now joined the cast of the upcoming revival, which is currently filming in the rainforests of Hawaii.

Star of the film, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson took to Instagram to post a picture of himself in costume as Dr. Smolder Bravestone alongside the former teen heartthrob adorned in a flight jacket. This could mean that Jonas' character is a pilot or a member of the military.

Johnson indicated his complete faith in the actor, adding a comment saying Jonas is "gonna kill the roll like I kill things with my bare hands" -- which could tell us something about the plot being a slightly darker than the original film. That said, it'll be difficult to be more terrifying than the quicksand scene from the original film.

Jonas is just the latest arrival to an already impressive cast, which includes comedy superstars Kevin Hart and Jack Black, as well as "Doctor Who" and "Guardians of the Galaxy" star Karen Gillan. Although details about the plot have been scarce, it's been noted that that it's not a remake of the original 1995 film starring the late Robin Williams, but rather an original story altogether set in the same word.
