Is The Rock working on something DC Comics-related at Warner Bros.? Well, maybe.

The actor/wrestler/reality show host took some new time on New Year's Eve to answer questions from fans in a "Rock Talk" Q&A on Twitter, including an inquiry as to what Marvel or DC Comics character he'd like to play if he were ever approached about such a thing. Turns out, something may be in the works -- though the emphasis on "something" and "may":

We just had a big meeting w/ Warner Bros CEO re: @DCComics 2014 we will partner up and create the cool bad assert. #RockTalk @ActionTilson- Dwayne Johnson (@TheRock) December 31, 2013

So, based on that tweet, it looks like Dwayne Johnson met with Warner Bros. Entertainment CEO Kevin Tsujihara about something DC-related, with the obvious implication being a role in an upcoming film. That doesn't mean anything is going to happen for sure -- people in Hollywood meet all the time, frequently with nothing coming from it -- but the fact that it's now out there means that people are already talking, and the fact that The Rock put it out there himself likely means he's welcoming the speculation. Maybe he saw how much fun his "Fast & Furious" co-star Vin Diesel had with teasing his "Guardians of the Galaxy" role? (A film that features another former WWE Champion, Dave Bautista.)

The Rock was previously connected to the role of DC Comics villain Black Adam in a proposed "Shazam" film, dating back to 2007. In July 2012, he tweeted that he was "possibly playing" another DC character, Lobo. And of course, there's the 2015 "Man of Steel" sequel, which still hasn't announced any villain role -- and could possibly add another hero alongside Superman (Henry Cavill), Batman (Ben Affleck) and Wonder Woman Gal Gadot).

In a possible effort to fuel further guesses, Johnson sported a Batman t-shirt in the photo he used to promote his Q&A:
