Blumhouse wastes no time when it comes to sequel production. The low-budget horror company known for successful scare fare like the Paranormal Activity movies, Sinister and Insidious kicked a follow-up to The Purge into high gear just a few days after that film's June release.

Now, several months later, The Purge: Anarchy -- formerly dubbed The Purge 2 -- has an official title, a poster and a teaser trailer, giving viewers an idea of what James DeMonaco's sequel will be like.

The Purge films take place in a near future where the laws are suspended for a 12-hour period once a year. During that time, citizens can commit any crime they want without fear of prosecution in an effort to purge the desire to do bad deeds from their systems.

As you can see in the trailer below, the new film finds a couple getting a flat tire on the worst possible night and trying to survive on the streets. While the original film took place in a home, the sequel moves out into the world during the annual crime spree.

Opening June 20, The Purge: Anarchy stars Frank Grillo, Michael K. Williams, Zach Gilford, Kiele Sanchez and Carmen Ejogo.
