While Mulder and Scully were once again becoming entangled in a web of government conspiracies in the debut episode of Fox's "X-Files" revival, a new protagonist got a head start by stepping out into the spooky woods. The official "Deadpool" Twitter account released an image of the titular mercenary wandering through the dark woods in a manner familiar to fans of "The X-Files." All 'Pool's missing is a flashlight and FBI badge, then he'd really fit in with Agents Mulder and Scully.

"The X-Files" continues its return on Monday night on Fox; "Deadpool" opens in theaters on February 12.
