Although audiences won't get a "LEGO Movie" spinoff until 2017 and a full-fledged sequel until 2018, LEGO and Warner Bros. hope to make the wait more bearable with a new 4D animated adventure, coming exclusively to Legoland.

Called, fittingly enough, "The LEGO Movie 4D: A New Adventure," it will follow Emmet, Wyldstyle, Unikitty, Benny and MetalBeard on a new journey after they received a mysterious invitation that leads them to a new theme park ... where all the rides are based on their adventures in "The LEGO Movie." Yes, it's very meta.

However, it doesn't end there: The characters are once again thrust into the middle of an evil secret plot, only this time audiences will have to use their Master Builder skills to help save them. As it's a "4D" experience, expect wind, water, smoke and lightning effects.

Written by Adam Pava ("The Boxtrolls") with director Rob Schrab ("The LEGO Movie 2"), "The LEGO Movie 4D: A New Adventure" features returning voice actors Elizabeth Banks (Wyldstyle), Alison Brie (Unikitty), Nick Offerman (MetalBeard) and Charlie Day (Benny), joined by Patton Oswalt as the villainous Risky Business.

The attraction will premiere Jan. 29 at Legoland Florida Resort and Feb. 6 at Legoland California Resort, before rolling out to Legolands and Legoland Discovery centers worldwide.
