When it comes to "The LEGO Batman Movie," the sky is the limit. Speaking to Collider, directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller discussed their plans for the film and why longtime Batman fans in particular will enjoy it.

According to Lord, there were no holds barred for the film. "There is no favoritism, and there are no limits," he explained.

"Chris McKay, the director of the movie, is a real Batman aficionado and knows really arcane stuff that was only in one issue of the comic book in 1972, and that sort of thing," Miller shared.

"So, it is chock full of stuff for Batman aficionados. It is just a 90-minute Easter egg," he added.

"It heavily honors the comics," Lord said. "So, it covers all the way through to 'Batman v Superman.'"

The feature film will feature the voice talents of Will Arnett as Batman, Michael Cera as Robin, Zach Galifianakis as Joker and Rosario Dawson as Batgirl. "LEGO Batman" swings into theaters on February 10, 2017.
