Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) will go up against a meta-human who can kill with just a touch in the February 7 episode of the CW's “The Flash.” Matthew Kevin Anderson will guest star as Clive Yorkin, a meta-human serial killer who claims his victims by making them decompose at an accelerated rate, as revealed in an official episode synopsis (below).

Yorkin will have his eye set squarely on detective Joe Walsh (Jesse L. Martin), but it may be his daughter, Iris West (Candice Patton), who stumbles into Yorkin’s trap. Meanwhile, Barry’s apprentice, Kid Flash, (Keiynan Lonsdale) takes on greater responsibility when called to action.

Fans of the “The Flash” comic book series will know stakes are high when Clive Yorkin is around. In the comics, Yorkin is a career criminal responsible for everything from robbery to murder. While imprisoned in solitary confinement, Yorkin is experimented on, causing the pleasure and pain receptors in his brain to be effectively reversed, and allowing him to drain the life essence from a person through touch.

Yorkin’s arc revolves around the murder of Iris Allen, Barry Allen’s wife. Yorkin is believed to be the murderer for some time, until security footage reveals the culprit to be Professor Zoom. There’s no telling if the CW’s “The Flash” will stick to this arc, which is a major event in the series' story.

The episode, titled “The Touch of Death,” is directed by Rob Hardy and written by Brooke Roberts. The new episode will air on the CW network on February 7, 2017.
