Fans eagerly anticipating the debut of “The Flash” and the return of “Arrow” now know exactly how long they have to wait: The CW announced Wednesday that “The Flash” will bow on the network at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7; with the third “Arrow” season premiere scheduled for 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8.
By all scheduling indications, The CW looks to be making “The Flash” a top priority. On Oct. 1, the network will air both “Arrow” season two episodes that introduced Grant Gustin in the role of Barry Allen, “The Scientist” and “Three Ghosts.” For its first two weeks, next-day “Flash” repeats are scheduled to air on Wednesdays after “Arrow,” before the season premiere of “The 100” on Oct. 22.
“The Flash” premiere news comes amid multiple reports that the show’s pilot leaked onto torrent sites this week. “The Flash” stars Gustin, Candice Patton, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes, Tom Cavanagh and Rick Cosnett; with a pilot written by executive producers Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns, and directed by David Nutter.
