SPOILER WARNING: This article contains major spoilers for "The Once and Future Flash," the latest episode of "The Flash."

Barry Allen finally has an answer in his race to defeat Savitar. In "The Once and Future Flash," the latest episode of "The Flash," Barry traveled through time to the year 2024 in order to learn more about the God of Speed. Once there, he quickly learned that no one had discovered Savitar's identity -- but someone had figured out how to trap him.

After convincing his older self to continue the Flash's mission in the future, 2024's Barry Allen gave the younger Barry a name: Tracy Brand. As it turns out, it was Brand who discovered the technology that enabled Barry to trap Savitar in the Speed Force. However, Brand didn't discover this technology until 2020, three years after Iris' death. Even so, older Barry encouraged younger Barry to find Brand in 2017, in the event she can somehow develop the technology sooner. The younger Barry returned to his present with a renewed sense of hope and a mission to find Brand so that she can help them end Savitar's reign of terror.

Last month, TVLine revealed that Anne Dudek would play Brand, who is described as “a smorgasbord of quirky idiosyncrasies.” Though destined to become a renown genius, Brand hasn't quite come into her own just yet. She will debut in Episode 20, which is titled "I Know Who You Are."

Of course, that wasn't the only thing Barry learned. In 2024, he encountered Killer Frost. During a brief exchange, Killer Frost told Barry that she had teamed up with Savitar and that Savitar helped her by encouraging her to embrace her true self. Though Barry demanded to know who Savitar was, Killer Frost refused to answer, leaving Savitar's identity a mystery.

However, that future began to come true by the end of the episode. After her escape from STAR Labs, Killer Frost wandered the woods nearby, only to bump into Savitar. Savitar entreated her to trust him, and then revealed his true self to her by stepping out of his armor. Judging by the look on her face, Savitar is someone she knows; she immediately wanted to know what she could do to help him.
