The long-running "Honest Trailers" series mostly does send ups of movies, but they occasionally apply their honest approach to TV series as well. The latest target is The CW's "The Flash" in a very funny new video. While some Honest Trailers can get quite savage, Jon Bailey's gravelly voice is a lot more gentle in its critique this time around.

The trailer describes "The Flash" as "a show that really shouldn't work, but somehow ended up being... super fun? Holy crap, am I a 'Flash' fan now? I am!" Sure, they lampoon Barry Allen's often repeated need to go faster, and they poke fun at Caitlin Snow's nebulous scientific expertise. (Is she a bio-engineer? A hacker? A hematologist?) They also (rightly) point out that in a room full of geniuses, maybe someone should have noticed how creepy Dr. Wells is constantly acting. "Come on, he is so evil!" Jon Bailey points out, "I mean, look at his eye, the way he says everything, how are none of you able to figure this out?"

Still, even amidst some well earned ribbing, it is clear that Screen Junkies has been enjoying "The Flash" a great deal. There's even a vaguely apologetic tone when they point out "Bobble-Head Barry's" tendency to, well, bobble his head. Once seen, some things are impossible to unsee.

Past "Honest Trailers" have aimed pointed criticism at shows like "The Walking Dead" and "Game of Thrones" -- twice -- as well as films like "TMNT: Out of the Shadows," "Deadpool" and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

Starring Grant Gustin as the titular Speedster, “The Flash” airs Tuesdays at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW. Also starring Jesse L. Martin, Tom Cavanagh, Carlos Valdes, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Keiynan Lonsdale and more, season three of “The Flash” premieres Tuesday, October 4.
