At this stage in the game, it's looking like The CW's new drama "The Flash" will be following in "Arrow's" footsteps of casting its DC Comics supervillains in more real world terms.

Today, E! Online revealed that the already announced role of Plastique would be filled by Kelly Frye -a veteran of TV dramas such as "Rake" and "Body of Proof."

Created by Gerry Conway and Pat Broderick, Plastique is a traditional villain for Firestorm -- played on "The Flash" by CW vet Robbie Amell -- and an occasional love interest for Captain Atom. In the comics, she is a Quebec-based terrorist, however in the new TV version, Plastique will be an Iraq war veteran and bomb squad expert caught in the meltdown of Central City's Star Labs. Surprisingly, this isn't the first time the villain has been brought to live action. She previously appeared on a Season 8 episode of "Smallville."
