It's already known that Matthew Letscher will return to "The Flash" as the Reverse Flash -- this week's episode is titled "The Reverse Flash Returns," after all. But it's not yet known how he'll return, given that Eddie's death last season seemingly wiped out his family lineage. But showrunner Andrew Kreisberg ensured Entertainment Weekly that all will be explained.

When asked if the show will explain how Reverse Flash appears post-Eddie's death, Kreisberg simply answered, "Yep." The executive producer also discussed the advantages of having an Eobard Thawne from earlier in the timeline than viewers saw in season one: "There are some great surprises and some character interactions between this Thawne and all of our characters. Again, they all have the benefit of having enjoyed last season and he hasn't."

In terms of this season's villain, Kreisberg confirmed that Zoom's identity will remain a mystery for a while longer.

"As the season progresses, more will be revealed," Kreisberg told EW. "We obviously don't want to give too much away, because we've made his identity a mystery that's part of the ongoing storyline. We're really jazzed about the storytelling choices that we've made this season. So far, the audience has gone with them, and we hope they'll continue to do so."

As far as whether or not Zoom is someone fans will recognize, Kreisberg remained in full tease mode: "We'd like to keep the mystery alive."

"The Return of the Reverse Flash," the latest episode of season two of "The Flash," airs 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26 on The CW.
