When Gypsy arrives on "The Flash," Cisco "Vibe" Ramon may just learn a thing or two about the way his own powers work. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Aaron Helbing teased that Cisco's powers will continue to grow as Season 3 moves forward, and that will be thanks to Gypsy.
“We’re going to see Cisco really realize what he can do,” Helbing explained.

The report then refers to Gypsy as a "fellow Viber," which suggests that the character will have powers similar to -- if not the same as -- Cisco's. To add to that, Helbing went on to say, “Gypsy is a very formidable adversary. He never realized the extent of his powers, and because of seeing Gypsy, he’s going to become more and more in tune with his powers and what he can do, whether it’s crossing dimensions or opening breaches much faster and quicker. He’s going to be building confidence, and that’ll definitely play into the rest of the season of helping Barry and the team stop Savitar from killing Iris.”
During a Fan Feast Q&A in December, "The Flash" star Carlos Valdes -- who plays Cisco -- also hinted that Gypsy will teach his character more about his powers. “She is going to be coming in our world and Vibe will definitely get to learn some new skills as part of getting to know her. So I’m excited to see how that plays out,” he shared.
What's more, earlier this month, Helbing teased that the two would be “very strong” adversaries, but added that Cisco will also find that she is “someone he can’t stop thinking about.” This also seems to suggest that Cisco may develop romantic feelings for Gypsy along the way, though that idea is implicit rather than explicit here.

Created by Gerry Conway and Chuck Patton, Gypsy, aka Cindy Reynolds, was introduced in 1984’s “Justice League of America Annual” #2, the same issue in which Vibe debuted. Part of the Justice League Detroit team assembled by Aquaman following the destruction of the Justice League Satellite, Gypsy possesses the ability to cast illusions, permitting her to blend into the background and effectively become invisible. She can also project frightening images from the minds of opponents.
Airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, “The Flash” stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes, Tom Cavanagh, Jesse L. Martin and Keiynan Lonsdale. “The Flash” returns on January 24.
