They say when it rains, it pours. That's the case with news about Lionsgate's upcoming Expendables 2. The studio released a dozen character posters spread out over 12 different sites, although Collider did the heavy lifting and collected them all in one place.

The posters feature returning actors Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crewes, Randy Couture, Arnold Schwarzenneger and Bruce Willis as well as new additions to the cast like Chuck Norris, Jean-Caude Van Damme, Yu Nan and Liam Hemsworth. The new film, directed this time by Shane Black instead of Stallone, who helmed the 2010 original, finds the Expendables avenging the death of Tool, one of their own (played by Mickey Rourke in the previous installment).

As if all the new images weren't enough, Diamond Select Toys revealed a group of Expendables you can take home with you. The toy company just announced a series of 2-inch MiniMates based on the franchise. There will be two four-packs, one sold exclusively in Toys R Us stores, the other in comic book shops, other toy stores and online. The TRU pack includes Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), James Munroe (Eric Roberts), Trent Mauser (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and Paine (Steve Austin) while the other one boasts Hale Caesar (Terry Crews), Tool (Mickey Rourke), Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) and Lee Christmas (Jason Statham)

These two waves will be out this summer with two more sets based specifically on The Expendables 2 in time for the film's Aug. 17 premiere. Each pack comes with a dozen guns as well as other weapons for the gang to do their dirty work.
