THE BATMAN

There's new images from a commercial that recently started airing, focused on Jim Gordon's little girl, over at the message boards of a site called "Batman: Yesterday, Today and Beyond."

X-MEN 3

Posters on the Superhero Hype message boards are talking about a new issue of Entertainment Weekly, where actress Shohreh Aghdashloo reveals the truth about her mutant-themed role. "I am playing Dr. Cecilia Reyes," Aghdashloo said, "and she has the power to create a six inch force field around herself and ward off any attacks." When asked for details, the thesp responded, "To tell the truth, I don't know because I have not read the script yet. Brett is still working on it."

SMALLVILLE

Kryptonsite did a round up of the reports from the Canadian National Expo where actor James Marsters revealed much about his secretly villainous role, including nudity, wardrobe choices, and knowing the game plan. In the Comics Continuum section, Marsters said, "The thing I really love about this role, is that I have a very clear objective. I know my objective from the very beginning and it's going to carry me through the whole season. That was the problem with Spike. In all honesty, that character had no objective 90 percent of the time. I would have to make it up ... To find your objective is like a gas pedal for acting. And if you can find that objective and play it honestly, it's like 'Wham!' And if you can't find it, you're mired. I'm really happy about an objective the audience suspects and the other characters don't know. It's the hidden agenda of a zealot -- and it's really interesting."

On their spoilers page, Kryptonsite also has episode titles for the fifth season's seventh, eighth and ninth episodes.

A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE

There's a shiny new interview with David Cronenberg posted at Toro Magazine's online edition. "I'm not actually a violent person," Cronenberg said, "but I had to learn to kill with my bare hands to make this movie. So I could now kill a critic, any critic, in seconds. It'd be so fast people wouldn't know why he dropped to the ground. And I'm tempted to sometimes." Thanks to one of our favorite people, Hector Lima, for the heads up on that one.

IRON MAN

According to C21 Media (registration required), France 2 will co-produce a new animated series of 26 half-hour episodes featuring the Golden Avenger. Coincidentally, Tony Stark's character speaks French. At least in the Marvel 616 universe. Just FYI.

JUSTICE LEAGUE

According to Toon Zone, The episodes "We are Legion" and "Shadow of the Hawk" will air on September 17th, while "Chaos At the Earth's Core" and "To Another Shore" will air on September 24th. These episodes will air back to back from 10pm-11pm (ET).
