Tom Hiddleston spoke with Den of Geek about the process of getting all the Marvel movie universes together.
“Ken [Branagh] and Jon [Favreau] and Joe [Johnston] all swapped information, and Joss [Whedon] was brought on at a very early point on ‘Avengers,’ and Ken showed him ‘Thor,’ I think,” Hiddleston told Den of Geek. “They just sat down and watched it together, because Joss had asked, ‘Can I watch the film before I start writing, I just want to see what you’ve done with Thor and Loki.’ And Joss really loved what Ken had done, and what we’d all done together.”
The actor also mentioned his excitement at coming back to play Loki for “The Avengers.”
“It’s like meeting an old friend after years of not having seen them,” the actor said. “Coming back to play Loki, having played F. Scott Fitzgerald, Captain Nicholls and Freddie Page in the interim, it was like meeting an old friend. But also, having the confidence that I’d already spent six months inhabiting him. I’d already built the house, I just had to move back in, and redecorate. And the thrill of changing him… I remember saying, ‘Let’s make his hair longer.'”
Directed by Joss Whedon and starring everybody. Opens May 4

IN YOUR EYES
Joss Whedon has a new movie coming — one that’s not “Much Ado About Nothing.” Whedon’s new film, “In Your Eyes,” was described by cast member Abigail Spencer (“Mad Men”) as a “supernatural romance,” but no other major details are known.
“His next movie, I start that next month,” Spencer told Vulture at the Art of Elysium gala in Los Angeles. “It’s my first time [doing a project with Whedon], but I’ve always wanted to work with him. I’m so excited to do it.”
The Hollywood Reporter describes the story as centering on “two people who are preternaturally or supernaturally connected, despite being polar opposites.”
