TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLESFollowing the announcement of Michael Bay re-imagining the Turtles' origin as ninja space aliens, a number of new developments have taken place. Original Michelangelo voice actor spoke out against Bay's vision. In a statement to TMZ, original "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" movie voice actor Robbie Rist addressed Bay's new take on the franchise.

"I know believing in mutated talking turtles is kinda silly to begin with but am I supposed to be led to believe there are ninjas from another planet?" Rist told TMZ. "The rape of our childhood memories continues ... "

Bay, in turn, addressed fans on his Shoot for the Edit message boards, saying the immediate fan backlash was unwarranted.

"Fans need to take a breath, and chill," Bay said via the message board. "They have not read the script. Our team is working closely with one of the original creators of Ninja Turtles to help expand and give a more complex back story. Relax, we are including everything that made you become fans in the first place. We are just building a richer world."

Citing an unknown source, First Showing has revealed classic Turtles villain Krang will be a villain in the film. Hopefully, the living brain will get a cool robotic body like in the cartoon.
