SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD
Here at CBR, we have an interview with the ladies of Scott Pilgrim’s life, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Ellen Wong. “What’s cool with her is that everything she goes through in the film, it’s her first time feeling it. I think she’s so uninhibited, her feelings are so unconstrained. In a way, I think Scott was dating her because she’s easy, but she doesn’t see it that way. She’s going on this ride, this journey, trying to figure out what it means to be in love, what it means to have your heart broken. The way she takes that on in the film is the only way she could have been able to handle all the situations, because it really was her first time. She didn’t know how to put up her guard or judge certain situations or scenarios because she hasn’t yet been tainted by the realities of this world,” said Wong of her character Knives Chau (17 years old). Meanwhile, MTV News has video of their visit to the set of the film:

Mark Millar tells Empire Magazine that he wants the biggest names possible for the film. “The thing is, one guy has to be as good as the other. You’ve got Holmes versus Moriarty here or Batman versus The Joker, so each one has got to be a $20 million actor, really. I think you could go for the A+ list and get Johnny Depp as Nemesis and Brad Pitt as Blake Morrow.” Time will tell if Millar gets his wishes.

Heat Vision reports Fox is planning to pick up a spec script from Max Landis with superhero themes. A “spec” script is one written without a cash advance or studio guidance with the hopes of a pay day later one. Some writers never work “on spec.” It also means the script is a new concept, like this one. According to the article, “Chronicle” is about “three Portland teens that become exposed to a mysterious substance in the woods, and, as a result, begin to develop incredible powers. They work together to hone their skills for fun, until personal and family problems begin to turn them against one another.”

THE WALKING DEAD
MTV News spoke with composer Bear McCreary about writing for the series:
So, I did have a chance to get through the Mage’s Tower in “Dragon Age.” It seems I walked away from the game just as I started the final fight in the tower. Today, I may finally have time to get a few good hours cleared in that title. Maybe I can finally get to the expansion disc.
