“I’ll never forget the first day I walked on set in my little leotard,” Ruffalo told THR of motion capture. “Immediately I saw half of the crew and cast start to giggle. But when I freaked out I was actually pretty scary.”

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS 2
While speaking with MTV at CinemaCon 2012, Fox chief Tom Rothman gave a brief update on the status of the “X-Men: First Class” sequel.
“We’re going to start shooting January 2013 for [a release date of] either Christmas 2013, or Summer 2014,” Fox chief Tom Rothman told MTV News at CinemaCon this week. “The script is in development now. Matt, Simon Kinberg and Jane Goldman are working on it now.”
Rothman further confirmed that “Chronicle” director Josh Trank is still the frontrunner to direct the “Fantastic Four” reboot.
“I’m hopeful,” Rothman told MTV. “I think Josh is going to come onto ‘Fantastic Four’ and develop that.”
KICK ASS 2
New Empress Magazine spoke with Mark Millar about a number of topics including the status of the “Kick Ass” movie sequel.
“I literally just got a hard copy of the screenplay delivered this morning,” Millar told New Empress. “What can I tell you that nobody knows? Actually, not a lot if you’d read the book because it’s a very close adaptation. I can tell you that Chloe [Moretz]’s a lot taller. Her brother’s about 6’5 or something so I’m hoping she stops growing soon as we’re planning a third one too.”
MTV further spoke with Fox studio chief Tom Rothman about “Prometheus” and whether it can live up to the hype.
“I can tell you this about ‘Prometheus’ — it’s one of the few films that just in my day-to-day work, I can’t wait,” Rothman told MTV. “When we first saw it in 3D, it was breathtaking.”
Rothman further said “not one frame” of the movie will be cut and “if that means an R rating, so be it.”

RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES 2
Maybe that should be “Return of the Rise of the Planet of the Apes.” In any case, ComingSoon.net reporting from Cinema Con 2012 noted that Tom Rothman hinted there may be a sequel to “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” in the works. No concrete details were given about the film or even if it actually exists.
Tom Rothman is really all over the place in terms of movie news. Collider reports the Fox studio head may have “all but confirmed” that a “New Mutants” film is in the works. While being asked about the potential to introduce the New Mutants to the “X-Men” film franchise, Rothman said, “Let me just say this. All I have to say is, I agree with you in your assessment of the potential in a lot of these characters.”
Collider characterized Rothman as “all smiles” while speaking about the property.

Spinoff Online reports “The Wolverine,” previously announced as having a Sydney, Australia production, will shoot location shots in Japan.
“Stage work is always in a warehouse, so it doesn’t really matter,” Tom Rothman told MTV News. “Location work will be in Japan. So it’s filmed in both places, set in Japan. A great number of Japanese actors will be in it, and it’s based on the very famous run of the comics.”
