SIN CITY 2
As we reported earlier this morning, screenwriter William Monahan has been tapped to revise a recent Miller draft of the sequel script. Perhaps he’ll be removing the over-use of the word “goddamn” from the “Sin City” creator’s efforts.

CAPTAIN AMERICA 2
Co-writer Christopher Markus tells The Los Angeles Times Hero Complex that he’d love for MODOK to appear in the sequel. “I think you could make a terrifying movie with MODOK but nobody seems to be on my side,” he says. Markus even offers a casting note for the unusual Cap villain: “I will win you over to Peter Dinklage as MODOK. If he came around the corner and you saw him floating there you would be terrified. It would be amazing.” He also thinks the character’s bizarre appearance would be a challenge for the talented make-up artists.

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN
Star Andrew Garfield talks spider DNA with the Hero Complex. “I tried to incorporate as much of that as I could. He’s a boy/spider in terms of how he moves, and not just in the suit. It also shapes the way he interacts with people. A spider is so sensitive; their skin is sensitive to everything. That’s the thing with the spider sense and the way he takes in everything. Imagine all of your skin was as sensitive as a spider, the slightest gust of wind would feel like a tornado going by. You’d always be rushing, that rush. What does that do to you? The idea of how he adjusts to that,” he says. “And I looked at the idea of having more legs, more arms, and the spacial awareness. A spider moves up, down, side-to-side, all around. He’s not linear and with the knowledge of that spatial awareness and the fact that he can be here and then over there incredibly fast. The stillness of a spider and the lightness I found all of that very interesting to explore as well.”
Release date: May 28th, 2012
Young actress Bailee Madison tells Spinoff Online about her excitement at playing Calista in the pilot. “If the show does get picked up, there are some really fun things that my character is able to do. She’s such a sweet girl, but in the same way she’ll kick some butt if she needs to. She’s kind of raising herself in a way and … she’s got such spunk, some kind of sarcastic energy, but in a cute way, in a fun way that’s appropriate,” she says.
Well, we managed to avoid the heat as much as possible over the weekend and enjoyed the new episode of “Doctor Who.” Of course, that means I’ll have to confront the heat soon enough.
