Newsarama spoke with Marvel Studios Creative Manager of Research and Development Will Corona Pilgrim on the status of Agent Coulson, who was originally intended as a one-time performance in “Iron Man” and has since gone on to appear in the entire Marvel Movieverse.
“Coulson has always been the official/unofficial face of Marvel Cinematic Universe’s S.H.I.E.L.D.,” Pilgrim told Newsarama. “As fans know, S.H.I.E.L.D. has been a major character in the films as they clandestinely monitor the workings of various super powers; and while Nick Fury is the one in charge, Coulson is definitely the one in the trenches.”
Agent Coulson will also be appearing in Marvel’s “Ultimate Spider-Man” animated series voiced by Clark Gregg.
Marvel’s big “Avengers” Twitter event begins today at 2:00 PM Eastern/11:00 AM Pacific and there’s going to be one more person participating. Jackson, mentioned he would also be joining in — saying in the Tweet “Disney Muthafukkas already trying to CENSOR my ass.” Be sure to follow the live event at the official @Avengers Twitter later today.
Directed by Joss Whedon and starring everybody. Opens May 4.

He was nothing to do with the commotion that broke out after his death. Nobody ever really is a cartoon super-hero, even although [sic] superheroes are all the rage today.”
Kate Mara spoke with ESPN and revealed she was once under consideration for the role of Catwoman.
