AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.
MTV spoke with actor J. August Richards about his mystery role on “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” and the actor appropriately teased what fans can expect.
While speaking with Vulture, Samuel L. Jackson said he would actually like to be a part of the show, if possible.
“If I was going to do S.H.I.E.L.D., I’d like to be — you know Charlie’s voice on ‘Charlie’s Angels?’ That would be perfect,” Jackson said of his Nick Fury character. “Because everybody recognizes my voice. That would be good enough for me. And I told Joss that.” What did he say? “I don’t know. He can’t hire me, I guess. Disney, Marvel, we’ll see what they think … It would legitimize the show in another way. It’s like the same thing with ‘Star Wars’ — I want to be in that too. Bring Mace Windu back!”
Airs Tuesdays on ABC this fall.

THE LONE RANGER
Johnny Depp spoke with TotalFilm.com about his role as Tonto in Disney’s “The Lone Ranger,” and what he wanted to bring to the character.
“Since cinema has been around, Native Americans have been treated very poorly by Hollywood,” Depp told TotalFilm. “What I wanted to do was play Tonto not as a sidekick — like ‘go fetch a soda for me, boy!’ — but as a warrior with integrity and dignity. It’s my small sliver of a contribution to try to right the wrongs of the past.”
