WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans, which premiered at Comic-Con International.

Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans is an exploration of the DC multiverse, with different versions of the superhero team appearing throughout the film, and then banding together to fight Trigon. Those include previously established incarnations, throwaway gags from Teen Titans Go!, and historically important versions.

Although some of the cameos from other Titans teams were revealed during the trailer, there are still more surprising, and funny, incarnations that make their animated debut. Here are all of the versions that play a role in Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans.

Multiversal Options

The PG-13 Teen Titans from the DC Universe Animated Original Movies are quickly established as the most serious incarnation in the multiverse, and poke fun at the conception of the team from the 2003 animated series as dramatic. Another version introduced is New Teen Titans developed in 1983 by Hanna-Barbera that actually made it to series.

It's not only animated versions of the team that appear in the film, however. DC's New Teen Titans, introduced in 1980 by Marv Wolfman and George Perez, make the jump to live-action, as do the all-ages Tiny Titans, created by Art Baltazar and Franco Aureliani.

Go Crossovers

Teen Titans Go! vs. Teen Titans

The film is nominally a Teen Titans Go! movie that just so happens to feature the previous animated version of the Teen Titans. Many of the teams that appear in the background are actually versions that were previously introduced on Teen Titans Go! The series has always played loose with universal constraints. As such, a number of alternate-universe Titans have already appeared on the animated series. Among them are the Bizarro version of the Teen Titans, who briefly recruited Robin to serve as their leader.

Other incarnations in the film include the post-apocalyptic survivor versions of the team from "The Night Begins To Shine," and the elderly version of the team that's popped up in a number of episodes. The episode "Squash & Stretch" reimagines the team in new ways so the heroes can try to kill a squirrel antagonizing them. Two of the segments featured the Golden Age of animation-inspired version of the team as well as a 1980s anime version, both of whom appear in the film.

Original Teams

The film also introduces some new versions of the Teen Titans. The Teen Titans Go! team has a running gag throughout the film in which they openly hope to meet certain analogs from across the multiverse. Cyborg wants to find an all-animal version, while Beast Boy wishes to meet a mermaid team. Both then bring up a steampunk as a possibility.

All three come to fruition. While being chased by Santa and Mrs. Claus across the multiverse, the two teams fly through all three worlds. Each of these versions of the team ends up coming to help during the climax of the movie. A steampunk version of the DC Universe has appeared in the Gotham by Gaslight Elseworlds comic, although the Teen Titans weren't part of that. The original animated Teen Titans were turned into animals in the episode "Bunny Raven Or How To Make A Titananimal Disappear" and a robin version of Robin has appeared in episodes of Teen Titans Go!

Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans stars Greg Cipes as Beast Boy, Scott Menville as Robin, Khary Payton as Cyborg, Tara Strong as Raven and Hynden Walch as Starfire, with Kevin Michael Richardson as Trigon/Hexagon, Robert Morse as Santa Claus, Grey Griffin as Mrs. Claus, Rhys Darby as Master of Games, Sean Maher as Nightwing and "Weird Al" Yankovic as Gentleman Ghost and Darkseid.
