Quentin Tarantino has another movie in the works, and it's probably not what you expect. The filmmaker appeared last night on The Tonight Show discuss the Django Unchained trade paperback from Vertigo, and he dropped some clues about his next project while he was there.

"I haven't told anyone this publicly, but I will say the genre: It's a Western," Tarantino said, noting that the film won't be a sequel to Django Unchained. "I had so much fun doing Django, and I love Westerns so much that after I taught myself how to make one, it's like 'OK! Let me make another one now that I know what I'm doing.'"

With this new Western in the works, it would seem Tarantino is putting other potential projects like Kill Bill Vol. 3 and Killer Crow -- the World War II film about African-American soldiers that would act as the third part of a thematic trilogy with Inglourious Basterds and Django -- on hold for the time being.
