Summary

Adapted from H. G. Wells' original novel, War of the Worlds is a sci-fi/action film starring Tom Cruise and Dakota Fanning in the lead roles. Ray Ferrier (Cruise) is a dock worker in New York who is in the middle of a visitation from his children when suddenly a mysterious storm strikes the town; where Ray quickly catches on that this isn't a weather phenomenon. Returning to his children, he attempts to flee town as alien spaceships emerge from the ground, laying waste to everyone and everything in their path.
