Summary

The beginning of the original franchise and based on the novel by Jay Anson, The Amityville Horror is a horror/supernatural film starring James Brolin and Margot Kidder. A new couple, George (Brolin) and Kathy (Kidder) move into a home where a mass murder occurred a year earlier. When they bring a priest to come to bless the house, he is besieged by strange occurrences and falls ill instantly. With the supernatural events continuing beyond the visit, the family soon discovers they may not be the only inhabitants.
