Ahead of its premiere on AMC sometime in mid-2016, "Preacher" will get the world premiere treatment at the South by Southwest festival. Variety announced that the adaptation of the cult classic Vertigo series will be part of SXSW's film programming, which runs from March 11-19. Date, time and venue information has not yet been released for the "Preacher" premiere, although the show's page on the SXSW website indicates that info will be released this month.

The show's page also includes a new still (above to the right) from the AMC series. The pic shows series lead Dominic Cooper, who plays preacher Jesse Custer, lighting up in a church. The announcement included a synopsis for the episode, including cast and crew information.
