The citizens of Chester's Mill, Maine, are starting to look familiar.

As the focus of Stephen King's Under the Dome, the town will have a rough go of things when the novel makes the leap to television in June. Adapted by Eisner-winning comics writer, and Lost alum, Brian K. Vaughan, the story follows a group of people in a small town that becomes completely encompassed by an invisible, indestructible barrier. But the situation becomes even more complicated as some of the town's darker elements find their way into the light of day.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show's first bit of casting has been announced. Colin Ford is set to play Joe, a smart kid who tries to get over the fact that his parents are on the other side of the dome and focus on getting out from under the mysterious barrier. Ford had a recurring role as Young Sam Winchester on Supernatural, but he's also appeared in We Bought a Zoo and Eye of the Hurricane, and he voices the lead character in Disney's Jake and the Never Land Pirates.

Produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television, Under the Dome premieres Monday, June 24 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
