With Lois Lane firmly involved with Jonathan Carroll instead of Clark Kent, it looks as though DC Comics' Superman is looking for love in the arms of his Amazonian Justice League teammate, Wonder Woman.

Revealed today by Entertainment Weekly's Shelf Life blog, Jim Lee's variant cover for the August 29-hitting "Justice League" #12 depicts the Man of Steel locking lips with Princess Diana in mid-air. And lest comic book longtimers think this is another fakeout like John Byrne's "Action Comics" #600 nearly 25 years ago, "JL" writer and Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns unambiguously states this is the real deal. "This is the new status quo," Johns told Shelf Life, stating that the relationship will have an impact that reaches far beyond the ultimate power couple.
