Mark Millar (via Superhero Hype) responded on his official site to a MTV News story from last week where that site quoted him as saying Warner Bros could “not afford” him to write his epic Superman film cycle he previous told details of to Empire. In post eight, Millar writes, “I don’t think I said they couldn’t afford me now. If I did I was joking because writing Superman would be a massive payday so if I said that I was obviously laughing at the time. It’s possible though as I like being glib.”

SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD
While production has ended, director Edgar Wright’s blog still gives us glimpses of the film, such as this photo in which we can see coffee fuels the editing process. Meanwhile, over at his Twitter feed, Wright posts, “Just in case you still thought I was slacking, I am in the edit suite on a Sunday morning.”

EMMY AFTER PARTY
Things are a little quiet after the Emmys last night, but clearly something had to drop from drunken lips last night and I want to know. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya bracing for the future threat of broadcast television’s demise.
