When Supergirl isn't busy saving the world or working through the demands of Cat Grant, she's apparently visiting small town high schools. As production began this week in Vancouver on The CW's "Riverdale," "Supergirl" star Melissa Benoist stopped by the set to pay a visit to Archie (KJ Apa) and Jughead (Cole Sprouse).

Of course, the immediate question on everyone's mind is when we might expect a crossover. After all, The CW is quickly establishing itself as its own TV superhero universe -- and it's already known that "Riverdale" will be a bit of a departure from the source material's typical all-American high school setting.

“I used to get very angry and incendiary when people would mess with the properties I love a lot,” Sprouse told CBR during an interview at San Diego Comic Con. “One of the cool thing about the Archie universe is that there are so many universes. Like, there’s ‘Afterlife with Archie,’ the Punisher comes [to Riverdale], the Predator comes. There are so many universes that it removes a lot of that incendiary dialogue that takes place with most comic properties.”

Although we have to wait a few more months to see Riverdale High come to life, creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has started sharing production photos as shooting gets underway at Riverdale High, including a photo of Riverdale's famed Varsity Bulldogs.
