Fans have been speculating about who exactly Teri Hatcher will play when she lands in an upcoming episode of the CW's "Supergirl." Hatcher is no stranger to Kryptonian adventures, after all. She co-starred in "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" as Lois Lane for that series' four-season run in the '90s. While we still don't know who she's playing in her gust appearance, "Supergirl" executive producer Andrew Kreisberg offered up a hint to ComicBook.comRELATED: Supergirl: ‘There’s a Plan’ for Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher to Share a Scene"What's so amazing is she's so not playing Lois and she is so not playing kind of any character I've ever seen her play before," said Kreisberg. "She's so not Susan from 'Desperate housewives' and she's really playing something completely different that was in her repertoire of all the things that she's ever done and she's doing it amazingly. So it's really exciting for us because it's like, you know, usually with some of these things you know it's like 'oh it's just a pale carbon copy or they're just repeating themselves.'"Hatcher's guest appearance on "Supergirl" was first announced in January. A few weeks later, she tweeted a picture of herself getting fitted for wardrobe.

Kevin Sorbo — who was recently cast to appear in “Supergirl” along with Hatcher — offered a few spoilery details about the nature of his role in the series, admitting that Hatcher will play his wife and that the two are from a planet that is an arch-rival to Krypton. This has led some to believe that Hatcher and Sorbo will be playing the king and queen of Daxam.

"Supergirl" is also home to the other half of "Lois & Clark," Dean Cain. The actor, who played Superman opposite Hatcher's Lois Lane on the '90s series, stars in "Supergirl" as the titular character's adoptive father. In another recent interview, Kreisberg revealed that the two may share the screen once more. “We’d love to,” Kreisberg said of a Cain/Hatcher scene on “Supergirl.” “There’s a plan — if we can execute the plan.”

The next episode of "Supergirl," titled "Exodus," will feature Dean Cain's Jeremiah Danvers and air on March 6. Starring Melissa Benoist as the Girl of Steel, "Supergirl" airs Mondays at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW. The series also stars Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers, Jeremy Jordan as Winn Schott, David Harewood as Martian Manhunter and Chris Wood as Mon-El.
