Teri Hatcher is going super for "Supergirl." On her Twitter, she posted a photo teasing the costume she'll wear in The CW series. The CW has yet to officially announce what role Hatcher will play, but the costume -- and an offhand comment from another one of the series’ latest recruits, Kevin Sorbo -- has opened the door for speculation about the roles the two will play.

Last week, Kevin Sorbo -- who was recently cast to appear in “Supergirl” along with Hatcher -- offered a few spoilery details about the nature of his role in the series, admitting that Hatcher will play his wife and that the two are from a planet that is an arch-rival to Krypton. This has led some to believe that Hatcher and Sorbo will be playing the king and queen of Daxam.

In The CW’s “Supergirl,” Daxam was Krypton's neighboring planet up until the latter world exploded. The destruction of Krypton bathed Daxam with lethal radiation, killing its inhabitants and rendering the planet a wasteland. One of the series’ characters, Mon-El (Chris Wood), is considered to be the last living Daxamite.

The show has alluded to Mon-El’s royal origins, and -- if Hatcher and Sorbo are actually the king and queen of Daxam -- it’s not unreasonable that they would be looking for their son.

Starring Melissa Benoist as the Girl of Steel, “Supergirl” airs Mondays at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW. The series also stars David Harewood as Martian Manhunter, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers and Jeremy Jordan as Winn Schott and features appearances by Calista Flockhart’s Cat Grant as well as Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman.
