As we count down the hours to The CW's four-night superhero crossover, "Supergirl" arrives with a new extended trailer for the hotly anticipated event.

While we've seen most of the footage in previous promos, this teaser does include some new shots and dialogue -- and much of what is recycled is presented in a different way. In short, it's worthwhile viewing for fans of "Arrow," "The Flash," "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" and "Supergirl."

Inspired by DC Comics' 1988 miniseries "Invasion!," the crossover pits the heroes against the mind-controlling aliens known as the Dominators, who are determined to stomp out Earth's metahumans before they pose a threat to the rest of the universe. Or, as the trailer teases, "Winner takes Earth."

"Heroes v Aliens" kicks off Monday with the midseason finale of "Supergirl," the Thanksgiving-themed "Medusa," which brings Barry Allen and Cisco Ramon to Kara's Earth to enlist her assistance, even as the Girl of Steel turns to Lena Luthor for help with another matter. The event continues Tuesday, Nov. 29, on "The Flash" and Wednesday, Nov. 30, on "Arrow" before concluding Thursday, Dec. 1, on "DC's Legends of Tomorrow."

Airing Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, "Supergirl" stars Melissa Benoist, Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh, Jeremy Jordan, David Harewood and Chris Wood.
