Although James Olsen's new identity as Guardian has been an interesting wrinkle on "Supergirl," it was obviously only a matter of time before he and Winn would be forced to come clean to Kara. If this new clip is any indication, tonight may just be the night.

Following Winn's traumatic brush with a gunman last week, it's becoming increasingly clear his workload with the Department of Extra-Normal Operations, keeping secrets from Kara and his nightly excursions backing up Guardian are leaving his nerves a little frayed.  Apparently, spotting a bullet hole in Guardian's armor is his breaking point.  After a rant about his schedule and the stress of leaving Kara out of the Guardian loop, Winn finally lays down the law for James: "We're telling Kara." James begrudgingly cedes that he'll finally tell Kara what they've up to. But what are the chances that will go over well?

Finally, it sounds as if Winn is also hard at work on a costume for Mon El who, as Winn so eloquently puts it, "has graduated from superhero kindergarten." Perhaps some variation of the classic Mon El costume will finally make an appearance? Maybe tonight's the night Mon-El dons a cape to hit the streets -- er, skies  -- with Kara.

Airing Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, “Supergirl” stars Melissa Benoist, Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh, Jeremy Jordan, David Harewood and Chris Wood.
