When Supergirl returns next month for its third season, the Girl of Steel will bring with her a number of new faces, including Amy Jackson's Saturn GirlOdette Annable’s Reign, and Bloodsport. But it won't take long for National City to become a little crowded, as the second episode will introduce the psychokinetic villain Psi, played by Yael Grobglas.

According to the newly released synopsis for the episode, titled "Triggers," Psi will challenge Supergirl mentally rather than physically, due to her ability to tap into the worst fears of her enemies. Additionally, it appears that Reign -- or, rather, her civilian identity of Samantha Arias -- will make an appearance in the episode as she begins working for L-Corp.

Introduced in 1982 by Paul Kupperberg and Carmine Infantino in Daring New Adventures of Supergirl #1, Gayle Marsh, aka Psi, developed psychic abilities at age 12, and ended up in the care of scientist David Pendergast following the death of her parents. It was through Pendergast's manipulation that Psi clashed with Supergirl, as he was actually an extension of her own fear and managed to convince her that Supergirl was really a threat known as "the Decay."
