Actor Rahul Kohli, who plays medical examiner Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti on The CW's "iZombie," is set to make the move to "Supergirl" for a guest starring role as DC Comics villain Jack Spheer, aka Biomax.

Announced via Entertainment Weekly, Kohli's Spheer will make his debut in the eighteenth episode titled “Ace Reporter," which will focus more on Kara's journalism side.

In the comics, Spheer is the CEO of of Biospheer Technologies, where the Biomax Process -- a process which can control how organic tissue grows -- is developed. The show will be sticking close to Spheer's comic counterpart for his introduction, as it will be a technology conference in National City where he sets out to display his latest medical innovation to the press.

Stressing his excitement, Kohli explained to EW that his casting has not only allowed him to continue his working relationship with the CW, but also helped to "fulfill my goal of meeting a Kryptonian.”

"iZombie" fans need not worry about whether this will interfere with his duties on his other DC Comics/Vertigo-inspired series; Kohli will return as Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti when the show returns for its third season this April.

Starring Melissa Benoist as the Girl of Steel, "Supergirl" airs Mondays at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW. The series also stars David Harewood as Martian Manhunter, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers and Jeremy Jordan as Winn Schott and features appearances by Calista Flockhart's Cat Grant as well as Tyler Hoechlin's Superman.
