While "Red 2" has yet to hit theaters, The Hollywood Reporter states that Summit Entertainment has already signed on "Red" and "Red 2" screenwriters Jon and Erich Hoeber to pen a third film in the franchise. Based on the comic book miniseries by Warren Ellis and Cully Hamner, "Red" debuted in 2010, and its sequel sees star Bruce Willis return as retired black ops agent Frank Moses, who has to reassemble his old team. The initiative for a third film is reportedly due to Summit being "supremely encouraged" by the high test scores of "Red 2," which is slated to hit theaters July 19.
