"Suicide Squad" might not look totally like all the other superhero movies out there, but that doesn't mean it won't have the same presence in the toy aisles and collectibles stores. While there have been no official announcements about "Suicide Squad" figures, director David Ayer gave fans a taste of what's to come via Twitter.

Ayer posted a picture of what looks like a Harley Quinn statue, featuring the character as depicted by Margot Robbie in the film. The statue offers a detailed head-to-toe glimpse at Robbie's version of the character, from the top of her red and blue hair to the bottom of her stiletto sneakers.

Merchandise announcements for "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" arrived yesterday, proving that Warner Bros. is going all out when it comes to licensing for their slate of DC superhero films.

"Suicide Squad" opens on August 5, 2016.
