Netflix's summer hit Stranger Things successfully tapped into our appetite for nostalgia with its 1980s setting and its cultural influences, including E.T., the works of Stephen King, and Dungeons & Dragons. And with its upcoming soundtrack release, the sci-fi drama is giving the decade another warm embrace.

Arriving in July from Lakeshore Records, the second release of the synthesizer-filled score by Survive takes the form of a throwback cassette. What's more, the packaging is designed to look like an old VHS sleeve, with a case that mimics the tape.

The cassette will be released on July 14, exclusively from Urban Outfitters.

Set in a small Indiana town in 1983, the first season of Stranger Things followed the investigation of the disappearance of a 12-year-old boy, which reveals a series of extraordinary mysteries involving secret government experiments, supernatural forces and an unusual little girl. The second season will follow the aftermath of the confrontation with the Demogorgon and Hawkins National Laboratory.

Debuting Oct. 31 on Netflix, Stranger Things Season Two stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Cara Buono, Joe Keery and Noah Schnapp.
