Whoever made this casting happen, we all thank you: Dolph Lundgren, aka Ivan Drago from "Rocky IV" and actual, real-life chemical engineer, has signed on to star in the forthcoming direct-to-DVD sequel of "Kindergarten Cop," the cult favorite 1990 film starring Arnold "It's not a Tumor" Schwarzenegger.

Of course the ideal casting would have been Sylvester Stallone but having the Swedish Lundgren fill in for the Austrian Schwarzenegger is pretty choice.

According to The Wrap (via ManlyMovie.net), the new film follows Lundgren, who must go undercover as a teacher in Kindergarten in order to track down a missing flash drive from the Federal Witness Protection Program. Albanian villains are also involved. All of this sounds great. However, Lundgren also has an Indian sidekick named Sanjit, which will be totally fine so long as he's not a raging stereotype.

Directed by Don Michael Paul from a script by David H. Steinberg, "Kindergarten Cop 2" is currently in production.
