Bet you didn't see this one coming: Minority Report is headed to television.

According to TheWrap, Steven Spielberg and Amblin Television are developing a TV series based on Minority Report, the Oscar-winning filmmaker's 2002 sci-fi thriller about a police force with precognitive support, able to track down and arrest criminals before they have the opportunity to commit their crimes.

Tom Cruise starred as the head of the task force, subsequently forced on the run when his name pops up as a future murderer.

In addition to Spielberg and Amblin's involvement, Godzilla writer Max Borenstein has been tapped to write the Minority Report series, according to TheWrap. There's no word on casting, except that Spielberg is expected to hire a name actor for the lead role.
